 Cowboys For Cancer1
First National Rio Grande is proud to be a sponsor for Cowboys for Cancer Research that includes NMSU Aggies Are Tough Enough to Wear Pink Campaign. Our sponsorship will help seed new cancer research studies and equipment that will benefit patients directly by providing promising new treatments.




We are proud to sponsor NMSU’s 2015 Domenici Public Policy Conference Sept 16th and 17th at the Las Cruces Convention Center. First National Rio Grande is proud to support this annual program where several prominent and influential leaders discuss energy, health care, foreign policy and more.

Parade of Playhouses


First National Rio Grande is the premier sponsor of New Mexico Appleseed’s annual fundraising event “Parade of Playhouses.” Through this unique and fun event, the best architects and builders of our community partnered to build ten imaginative 8’x10’x 12’ playhouses that will be auctioned off on May 2nd 2014 at the ABQ Zoo. All proceeds from the auction benefit New Mexico Appleseed, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization focused on issues like hunger, education and homelessness. Learn more

First National Rio Grande is sponsoring the 2014 El Ranchitos de los Ninos Charity Cruise to be held in May. As an alternative to foster care, El Ranchitos de los Ninos provides a safe, loving home where children grow in a supportive, family farm setting. Details

First National Rio Grande is proud to sponsor the UNM Anderson School of Management’s 25th annual Hall of Fame Awards banquet on March 13th 2014. Hall of Fame candidates are selected for their professional success, contribution to the community, and ongoing commitment to continuing education. Funds raised from the event will support the Hall of Fame Endowed Scholarship fund.

First National Rio Grande is pleased to sponsor the NM Museum of Natural History Foundation’s annual Chocolate Fantasy event on March 2nd 2014. This popular gala event features chocolate creations by some of New Mexico’s finest chefs. Proceeds from the gala will further the cultural and scientific programs of the Museum.

Education Matters


As a strong supporter of education, First National Rio Grande is proud to contribute to the CNM Foundation. The Foundation leverages private funding resources to support Central New Mexico Community College, and has been successful in raising more than 30 million dollars in program support and distributing more than 32,000 scholarship awards to financially challenged students.
